Did you know that you can converse with Wisdom? Well, you can. Wisdom has a voice and does speak. In fact, Wisdom is The Woman who spoke with God and delighted in Him as well as in His work. See Psalm chapter 8, and in particular verse 30 of the Amplified version. In verse 30 Wisdom claims how much God delighted in Her and how She was the master and director of His work, and how She rejoiced before Him ALWAYS. --- So even God could do nothing without or apart from Wisdom and neither can we. It only makes sense to converse with Wisdom. After all, we are commanded to GET WISDOM AND IN ALL THY GETTING, GET UNDERSTANDING. (Prov 4:5).
In verse 6 we are commanded to NOT FORSAKE WISDOM. And in Prov 7:4 we are commanded to CALL WISDOM "MY SISTER" and to CALL UNDERSTANDING " MY NEAREST KIN" (KJV version) and to REGARD UNDERSTANDING AS " MY INTIMATE FRIEND" (in the Amplified version). Why? For SHE will keep, defend and protect us. In fact, we are also commanded to LOVE WISDOM and SHE will guard us.
In verse 8 we are commanded to PRIZE WISDOM HIGHLY AND EXALT HER. Why? Because WISDOM WILL EXALT AND PROMOT US. SHE WILL BRING US TO HONOR WHEN WE EMBRACE HER.
In fact, Wisdom shall give to our head a wreath of gracefulness; a crown of beauty and glory Wisdom will deliver to us.
And in verse 11 King Solomon, who wrote up Proverbs, who often addressed his sayings to his son, vehemently declared that he had TAUGHT HIS SON IN THE WAY OF SKILLFUL AND GODLY WISDOM; and that HE LED HIM IN PATHS OF UPRIGHTNESS.
King Solomon was adamant that WISDOM IS THE PRINCIPLE THING; THEREFORE GET WISDOM. AND IN ALL THY GETTING, GET UNDERSTANDING. (Prov 4:7).
And if any of us lacks wisdom, James said in chapter 1 verse 5, all we have to do is ask God Who will give Wisdom liberally and without reproach to anyone who asks Him for it. But why ask God for wisdom when we can actually ask Wisdom Herself for help and insight concerning a matter. After all, since Wisdom was by God's side during His time of creating the universe, and God Whom it pleased to give us THE KINGDOM (Luke 12:32) ... Why? As Jesus commanded in Luke 12:32 (so we are not) as He commanded to ... NOT BE SEIZED WITH ALARM OR STRUCK WITH FEAR. Why? Because WISDOM MAKES US WISER THAN OUR ENEMIES (Ps 119:98).
Now you can ask God for wisdom as James suggests. God will give you wisdom, and hopefully you will not struggle to know whether you are actually working with wisdom or not, which is often the case. So why not simply speak with Wisdom directly and then know that you are truly being lead, guided and directed exactly as God would have you.
Joyce Meyer has said that the most sacred prayer a person could pray is GOD HELP ME. She's not wrong on that. However, to be in constant communication with Wisdom Herself and saying, OK Wisdom, help me, lead me, guide me, enlighten me and help me understand so I can exalt Christ, glorify God and be a blessing to The Kingdom of God and manifest His Righteousness ... is just as sacred and holy a prayer as God help me. ...
In fact, if you prefer you may address Her as SPIRIT OF WISDOM (Eph 1:17) or WISDOM OF GOD (Eph 3:10) ... or even SISTER WISDOM (adjusted from Proverbs). These are all ways to formally address Wisdom if you like, and it does Her great honor. It's something to think about, but it is also another piece of Spiritual Equipment and Battle Armor in our arsenal also accommodating and acknowledging Divine Leadership and Empowerment at the same time.
Study Proverbs and the New Testament of God's Word. You will find that Wisdom is very much indeed a Person Who Speaks. And She is not just a spirit who speaks. She is one of The Holy Spirits of God ... and Who cannot and will not tell a lie or lead you astray or into temptation. ...
The wisest thing we could do for ourselves besides seek God, Jesus, or The Holy Spirit for help, guidance or wisdom, is to also ask Wisdom for help, guidance, and insight concerning a matter. We can even lavish praise on Her for being an ever present help in trouble just like God is. ;0).
Try it and see for yourself what a difference getting Wisdom involved will make in your own life. It takes much practice if you are unaccustomed to it. Some are unaware of how well they naturally communicate with Wisdom. Some know they need to and that it's in their best interest to do so. Even I myself need to waay lots more than I do.
